Jeff Joslin - Secrets of the Jab - Lower Body PositioningToday we start the first of a training series from UFC veteran Jeff Joslin. To start off, we are beginning with the basics, and a three part article on the secrets of one of the most basic weapons a martial artist has....the jab.
Happenings at MCSA little update about the goings on here at Martial Combat Systems. Things are rolling along nicely with the website, despite a recent issue with our hosting (sorry for that). We will be launching the premium memberships over the next while, and as a result will be working on preparing a large amount of new video footage for both free and paid members. Regular classes resumed recently at our Calgary location after a nice vacation for everyone, while those of us that did stick it out perhaps learned more in those few months than we would have ever guessed. We have also started new pages on Facebook, Twitter, and Youtube, so please follow us and help spread the word (see links on front page to connect). There has also been discussion of a dvd release in our future....but more details to come on that later. Last but not least, a large congratulations to Cory Sanmiya. After being thrown into the fire as far as training goes, has worked very hard and was granted his green belt in Bujinkan ninjutsu this last week. |
Jeff Joslin training seriesStarting in the next week, we are bringing you a series of training articles written by Jeff "the Inferno" Joslin. Jeff is an accomplished martial artist, being the first Canadian to receive a black belt in Brazilian Jiu-jitsu as well as a 4th degree black belt in Karate. He has fought in the UFC as well as winning prestigious grappling competitions around the world. We are pleased that Jeff has allowed us to share these with all our members, and hope to bring you more in the future. Anyone wishing to learn more about Jeff and his training please check out his website at www.jeffjoslinmma.com. JKD CalgaryA warm congratulations to our own Sensei Wayne May and our friends over a Calgary JKD for their performance at the Jeet Kune Do Association Summer Camp this month in Tahlequah, Oklahoma.
